If we regard the Web as a metaverse, then the metaverse is a very real thing, because most stuff on the Web is real, real people, real business, real motivations, as opposed to a metaverses made of game like virtual worlds, where assets, businesses, and motivations are kind of artificial. Of course, things happening in game worlds, especially persistent world are very important to players, but they rarely touch the real world. The Web as a metaverse however is deeply intertwined with the real world, financially, socially. It basically is part of the real world. Therefore, I regard the Web as a "real" metaverse, that is being populated by services like weblin.io ...AND... the Web is a decentralized infinite garden.
